脑光学成像技术揭示的猫初级视皮层方位倾斜效应

摘要

水平-垂直敏感区比倾斜角敏感区面积大,平均差异为4.7%;水平-垂直方位刺激引起的反应强度整体上比倾斜角方位刺激大。以上结果澄清了以往一些电生理研究结果的不同,为方位倾斜这一心理效应提供了更为可靠的生理学解释。

The oblique effect revealed by optical imaging in primary visual cortex of cats

Abstract

The results show that cardinal preferred areas were larger than oblique preferred areas, with a mean difference of 4.7%. Overall, the responses evoked by cardinal stimuli were generally greater than those by oblique stimuli. The present work provides an explanation for the differences in electrophysiological results reported for this issue, and gives a new insight into the neural basis of the oblique effect.
