Abstract
The results of the present study demonstrated that the concentrations of thromboxane B2 (TxB2a) and 6-keto-prostaglandin F1a. (6-keto-PGF1a), and their ratio were significantly increased in the medium of intra-pulmonary arteriolar smooth muscle cells (PASMCs) under acute, hypoxia. Under either normoxia or hypoxia the concentration of TxB2 was significantly decreased with addition of taurine, while that of 6-keto-PGF1a. was significantly increased. With the addition Of indomethacin, however, under similar conditions, the concentrations of both TxB2 and 6-keto-PGF1a. were decreased. Furthermore, the effect of indomathecin on TxA2 and 6-keto-PGF1a. concentrations could be revend by taurine.
