Injection of adenosine into the renal artery activates spontaneous activity of renal afferent nerve fibers

Abstract

The results suggest that injection of adenosine into the renal artery activates ARNA via adenosine receptors in anesthetized rabbits andthat nitric oxide may be involved in regulating the activity of renal sensory nerve fibers as an inhibitory neurotransmitter.
