Role of paraventricular nucleus in natriuresis and diuresis induced by volume expansion in rabbits

Abstract

Results suggest that PVN is involved in the regulation of natriuresis and diuresis induced by VE, which are mediated by vagal afferent nerve, whereas the renal sympathetic efferent nerve may be involved in natriuretic response.
