Abstract

In comparison with the controls, the activities of H~(+)-ATPase and Ca~(2+)-ATPase of tonoplast vesicles in Altas 66 were decreased greatly by AlCl_(3) 20 and 100 #mu#mol/L treatment, those of Scout 66 were increased at AlCl_(3) 20 #mu#mol/L, but it decreased at AlCl_(3) 100 #mu#mol/L. The H~(+)-PPase activity of Altas 66 was decreased by Al treatment, while that of Scout 66 increased. The phospholipid contents of tonoplast vesicles in Altas 66 and Scout 66 were increased by AlCl_(3) 20 #mu#mol/L treatment, but it was decreased by AlCl_(3) 100 #mu#mol/L. The contents of galactose in lipids of two cultivars after Al treatments was higher than those of the controls and it was higher in Altas 66 than in Scout 66. After Al treatment, the palmitic acid and stearic acid contents increased, the linolenic acid content and the unsaturation index of fatty acids decreased in both cultivars, but those in Scout 66 more distinctly.
