Abstract
The cDNA possibly encoding the acyl-CoA-binding protein (ACBP) of rice (Oryza sativa L.) and its expressions were studied. Southern analysis suggested only one copy of ACBP gene in rice genome; Northern analysis showed that rice ACBP gene expressed in all rice organs examined (including roots, leaves, shoots, leaf sheaths of 50 d plants and young panicles), but the level of ACBP gene expression in roots of seedlings and leaf sheaths of 50 d plants was higher than in leaves.
